Redeem an Impounded Vehicle

My car was impounded. What do I do to get it back?

  1. Proof of Ownership (Title or Registration. An insurance verification is not acceptable as Proof of Ownership).
  2. Valid Government Issued Photo Identification that matches the name on the ownership document.
  3. If your tag is expired, you must bring current registration and tag (sticker).
  4. If the car was impounded for no insurance, you will need valid insurance.
  5. If the vehicle was impounded by Mission Police Department or Prairie Village Police Department, you will need to obtain a release from that police department before claiming your car or any contents.
  6. Bring payment for all monies due in cash (Exact change only, we do not provide change).

We want you to get your vehicle back. Please contact Almighty Tow Service at (913) 362-8697 immediately to arrange to claim your impounded vehicle.

If you are an out of the area owner and wish to release your vehicle to someone else, you will need to print and fax a notarized Absentee Authorization and Hold Harmless Agreement (download this form in Adobe PDF format below). Please follow the instructions on this form, as we must have this to comply with all regulations. Failure to complete the form or to have it notarized will result in denial of the release.

Daily Storage Fees

Any vehicle towed to an Almighty Tow Service, LLC impound lot will be charged a daily storage fee in addition to the towing and recovery fees. This fee is calculated and based on the police department, municipality, business or individual the car was towed to our impound lot under. Your vehicle will begin to accrue storage charges as soon as it arrives at our impound facility. Storage is accrued based on calendar days, any portion of a day counts as a full day. The cost to claim your impounded car will increase with each day that it is in our custody.
